Supporting Mental Health Awareness Month at Optimized EA

Tools for Mental Health

As you may already know, the month of May is widely recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month. It is a significant time for us to come together as a community and raise awareness about mental health, its impact, and the support available to those in need.

At Optimized EA, we firmly believe that mental health is an integral part of overall well-being. We are deeply committed to fostering a community that values and supports mental health. To this end, we have implemented several activities and initiatives aimed at promoting mental well-being and providing resources for you.

Here are a few tools we have in place to support overall well-being:

Brainshark: Learn how to recognize and address burnout.

Mindful Exercises: Take a break and engage in mindful exercises to reduce stress levels and enhance your well-being.

Wellness Challenges: Participate in fun and engaging wellness challenges that focus on different aspects of mental health. Some wellness challenges we've hosted so far include:

  • Virtual Coffee Breaks,

  • Virtual Tea Tasting,

  • Mental Health Newsletters

  • Story Telling Workshops

  • Remote Co-Working Sessions

Our wellness challenges are open to anyone who would like to join. Events are posted on our Linked In page so make sure you're following us there. Some wellness activities you can do on your own include journaling, goal setting and celebration, stretch breaks, exercise, and meditation.

International Buddy Program: We understand the value of having a safe space to express and share experiences. This is why we are building a virtual international buddy program that provides a supportive environment for open discussions and the opportunity to connect with others globally. If you're interested in signing up simply send us an email at hello@optimizedEA.com.

Volunteer and Give Back: Giving back to the community has been shown to have positive effects on mental health.

  • UN Volunteer : The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program, offers an Online Volunteering service. Through this service, volunteers can connect with UN entities, governments, public institutions, and civil society organizations to make a meaningful impact from anywhere in the world.

  • CatchaFire & VolunteerMatch : For Americans, CatchaFire & Volunteer Match connects professionals with skills-based volunteering that can also be virtual opportunities.

Remember, your mental health matters, and it is absolutely okay to ask for support when needed. If you are facing any mental health challenges, please don't hesitate to reach out to a trusted friend or co-worker. We're always here, as well!

Let's use this month as an opportunity to break the stigma surrounding mental health, support one another, and prioritize our well-being. Together, we can create a community environment that promotes positive mental health and helps us thrive both personally and professionally.
